Empower can be set up to scan either QR Codes or barcodes (type 39 or 128 barcodes).

In the factory version, scanning a barcode or a QR code with a Job number can start a Task with that Job number.


To set up barcoding, from the Main Management Menu go to Tools > Settings.

 
   


Clicking on the Advanced button (highlighted above) displays a number of additional advanced options.


Ensure that Allow Barcoding is set to On (as displayed below) and click on the Save button.
