Special Instructions are messages displayed in the Factory version each time a Task is started in the
Examples of a Special Instruction could be “Note only 500mm high” or “Refer to specification”, etc.
There are two types of Special Instructions - they can either be at the Job level or at the Task level.
To set up a Special Instruction at the Job Level, when entering a Job in the Job > New Job page
Enter Special Instructions in the Special Instructions field (highlighted above).
Each time the Employee clicks the green button this message will display.
The same message will display for all Processes for this Product in this Job, e.g. if the Product is called Table and you have three Processes – Make Legs, Make Top and Assemble, then the same message will display for all three Processes.
You can however have a different message for different processes – this is a Special instruction at the Task level.
To set up a Special Instruction at the Task Level.
In the Task > Edit Task page - enter special instructions in the highlighted field below:
Each time the Employee clicks the green button this message will display, but only for the Process for this Task.
