We then advanced to Empower Workshop Productivity & Scheduling Software, complete labour productivity software to give us specifically what we needed as a jobbing engineer.

Initially we were paper based manual time sheets that workshop staff filled in their jobs and times daily, this was very expensive in lost production time daily and management time rekeying into our job cost system, to produce a single report total time on each boat, times that were woefully inaccurate and reporting that was 2 days after production had occurred.

We then advanced to electronic time tracking of jobs, which was far better than manual time sheets but very limited in reporting.

I estimate our Jobs are completed in 20% less labour time at 20% less labour cost on each boat
